Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and support our growing network infrastructure. You will be part of a dynamic team responsible for designing and developing scalable, maintainable, highly available network architectures that meet business objectives and SLAs.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Network Design and Implementation: Design and deploy networks, including local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and other data communication systems.


  • Network Maintenance: Maintain and troubleshoot network systems, ensuring maximum uptime and minimal disruptions.


  • Network Security: Implement and manage security measures (firewalls, VPNs, etc.) to protect network data and infrastructure.  Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities.


  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor network performance to ensure optimal operation. Analyze and resolve issues as they arise.


  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, policies, and procedures.


  • Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors and service providers to ensure network equipment and services are up to date and reliable.


  • Network Upgrades: Plan and execute network upgrades, including hardware and software updates.


  • Support and Troubleshooting: Provide support and troubleshooting for network-related issues, working with internal IT teams and external partners as necessary.


  • Training and Development: Train staff on network operations and procedures. Stay current with new network technologies and advancements.


  • Compliance: Ensure that the network infrastructure complies with industry standards, legal regulations, and company policies.

Qualifications:



  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent work experience.  Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CCIE) are a plus.


  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on multi-site environments


  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency with network hardware (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls).

    • Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF).

    • Demonstrable experience with best network security practices.

    • Experience with industry standard network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark).


  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Advanced certifications (e.g., CCIE, CCDE).

  • Experience with cloud networking (e.g., AWS, Azure).

  • Experience in a large-scale, multi-site network environment.

Working Conditions:


  • This position may require occasional evening and weekend work, as well as on-call availability.

  • Some travel may be required for on-site projects or training.
