The St Louis Fed is one of 12 Reserve Banks serving all or parts of Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, Mississippi and Arkansas with branches in Little Rock, Louisville and Memphis. The St. Louis Fed’s most essential responsibilities include: promoting stable prices and economic growth, fostering a sound financial system, providing payment services to financial institutions, supporting the U.S. Treasury's financial operations, and advancing economic education, community development and fair access to credit.

We are looking for an Analyst to join the IT Operations team at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis that has analytical and technical expertise. The Business Operational Analyst will be involved in a variety of work such as producing operational metrics, financial variance analysis/modeling, analysis of trends and forecasts, and producing presentations for leadership.

Responsibilities 

  • Satisfy ad-hoc management requests that require analysis  
  • Update, document, and organize business processes including workflow diagrams, operational procedures 
  • General data analysis; be able to identify trends in data, forecast, and make recommendations 
  • Create visualizations (Power BI, Tableau) charts/graphs  
  • Compile data for metrics analysis  
  • Power Point presentations for leadership showcasing the data analysis and visualizations   
  • Contribute to Team operations and maintain positive working relationships  
  • Use logic to identify anomalies in data  

Qualifications  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience  
  • 1+ years of professional experience  
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing complex data sets   
  • Ability to manage a dynamic workload and re-prioritize quickly  
  • Interest in and general knowledge of technology concepts 
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with individuals at all levels   
  • Experience using MS Office Suite (including Excel, Power Point, Word, Visio, Outlook)  
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Excel  
  • Power BI knowledge/experience preferred  
  • Attention to detail  
  • Professional writing

Salary: $62,400-77,200
