As a Communications Intern you will complete tasks including, but not limited to writing and editing, photo and video production and editing, web and social media analytics, social media content, graphic design, media relations, digital asset management, event coordination, and other communications tasks as assigned.



How You Will Make Contributions That Matter:




  • Plan company meetings and develop presentation content to effectively communicate business objectives and initiatives.


  • Collaborate with staff on new ideas, directions, and venues for marketing and communications.


  • Compose and edit internal written and visual communications to ensure consistent messaging and compliance with corporate branding.


  • Manage media relations for the division, such as fielding media inquiries and recommending draft responses within established guidelines.


  • Help compile and update media contact lists.


  • Participate in crisis preparedness and mock exercises.


  • Work with national non-profit partnership efforts and community outreach programs.


  • Write and edit articles for the Saputo Scoop Newsletter.


  • Other general social media planning, research, reporting, and coordination as assigned.





You Are Best Suited for The Role If You....




  • Are pursuing a bachelor's degree in communications or a related field.


  • Have demonstrated excellent writing skills.


  • Have the ability to communicate in a professional manner with press and community contacts.


  • Are self-motivated, possess good organizational skills, are detail-oriented, prioritize accuracy, can multi-task and meet deadlines.


  • Have experience or education in corporate communications.


  • Are proficient in the use of word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software


  • Have the ability to be flexible and work on multiple projects simultaneously.


  • Have the ability to work scheduled hours and required overtime as needed.


  • Display traits of reliability, honesty, respect, attention to detail, and punctuality.


  • Can work independently, and as part of a team.


  • Demonstrate professionalism and positively represents and promotes Saputo at all times.
