Position Title: Lead Systems Engineer



Work Location: Remote



Salary Range: $140,000-$170,000



Job Summary


KaiHonua, LLC is looking for a Lead System Engineer to join our rapidly growing team. The Lead Systems Engineer will provide all engineering services and technical support to NIWC / SPAWAR SSC TIC necessary to provide planning, engineering, acquiring, integration, testing, configuration and operational field demonstrations.


Responsibilities and Duties (Not listed in order of importance; other duties may be assigned) and must be able to perform the following with minimal guidance:

  • Provide systems engineering support to include the development and integration of simulated classified and unclassified Local Area Networks/Wide Area Networks (LAN/WAN) using a cellular infrastructure.
  • Perform and provide network communication configuration (such as routers, switches, hubs, etc.); network server and workstation configuration; mobile phone configuration; wireless network configuration; electrical configuration; network infrastructure
  • Participate in working groups, meetings, technical discussions, issues resolution and briefings in order to increase knowledge, cross fertilization, and understanding of technical advances being researched, developed, and demonstrated.
  • Provide all services necessary to manage, maintain and operate designated systems and assist systems users. When necessary, the contractor shall diagnose problems and recommend solutions. When required, the Lead Systems Engineer shall study the feasibility of upgrading existing systems to include the following:
  • Increased security solutions, such as Commercial Solutions for Classified.
  • Advanced capabilities to include spectrum management and 5G capabilities.

Qualifications and Education

  • IAT Level II/IAM Level I (e.g. CompTIA Security+, or equivalent) certificate may be required
  • Minimum five years of knowledge and experience as a Systems / Network Engineer via a resume
  • Minimum five years of knowledge and experience supporting Cryptographic devices via a resume
Compensation Minimum: $140,000-$170,000

Physical Requirements


Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. May include lifting weight up to thirty (30) pounds as necessary.


Security Clearance


Position requires a Secret security clearance. Must be a U.S. citizen.
