LOCATION: Eglin AFB, FL

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Applies a broad knowledge of engineering principles in solving problems requiring advanced techniques with the extension and application of electronic theories. May be assigned a large engineering task or a number of small complex tasks. Works independently and may report to a branch manager or engineering manager.

GENERAL DUTIES:

• Job functions will include design, fabrication, installation, testing and documentation of electronics equipment.
• Directing and supervising projects requiring comprehension of a complete or complex group of electronic equipment.
• Must have a working knowledge of RF and how it applies to system instrumentation and signal analysis.
• Applies broad knowledge of engineering principles in solving problems requiring advanced engineering techniques; participates in meetings for planning, coordinates and resolves problems associated with task assignments.
• Primary job functions include providing engineering support for the guns area and work with government engineers to manage workflow and planning of the current and future development of testing on Eglin Test Range.

Job Requirements:

OTHER DUTIES: Additional duties may be assigned to support contract/mission support requirements in job-related areas.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A BS degree in Engineering, Math, or Physics is required, plus a minimum of six years’ experience. Must have a working knowledge of related sciences and engineering disciplines. Requires knowledge and expertise such that decisions can be independently made with regard to engineering tasks.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires a Secret security clearance. Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Supports E-OMS operational objectives. Observes company Quality, Safety, Environmental, Security and Administrative policies.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work requirements will involve both laboratory, office, and outside field activities.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This position will be subject to substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
