Job Description:

Position: Quality Manager

Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Quality Manager to lead our quality assurance efforts and ensure the highest standards of excellence in our manufacturing processes. This role requires a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to managing quality systems, leading a team, and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead Quality Initiatives: Oversee the Quality team in developing and implementing effective corrective and preventive actions to enhance systems and processes.
  • Analyze Data Trends: Review quality data to identify root causes of defects and drive improvements.
  • Develop and Deliver Training: Create training programs and conduct sessions on key quality standards, including First Article Inspection Reports.
  • Quality Assurance Oversight: Plan, develop, and manage quality assurance policies and programs to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Product and Process Testing: Direct testing procedures to ensure materials, parts, and products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Standards Development: Create, implement, and update quality standards, tools, and methods.
  • Supplier Management: Conduct audits and assess supplier performance to ensure adherence to quality standards.

Commitment to Excellence:
  • Inspection Proficiency: Maintain expertise in electronics inspection techniques and processes.
  • Customer and Supplier Relations: Serve as the main point of contact for all quality-related issues with customers and suppliers.
  • Feedback Systems: Enhance and manage systems to provide feedback and recognize high performance.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in and assign team members to regular quality walks and improvement initiatives.

Management & Leadership Focus:
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Be the expert on quality standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Team Management: Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing Quality team.
  • System Improvement: Ensure maintenance and enhancement of quality systems and structures.
  • Director Participation: Contribute to high-level management meetings and strategic discussions.
  • LEAN and 5S Integration: Collaborate with lean management to implement continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Talent Development: Work with HR to provide actionable feedback and support professional growth.
  • Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development through workshops and training focused on leadership and management.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in quality management within a manufacturing or similar environment.
  • Strong understanding of quality assurance standards, including relevant industry certifications.
  • Excellent analytical skills and experience in data-driven decision-making.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a high-performing team.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders.
