Join our R&I team as a Data Science Intern focused on Analytical Lab Support, where you'll help develop data prediction models for advanced analytical data generated by spectroscopy and chromatography techniques. This internship offers hands-on experience in data science applied to material design and analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
Review project background and develop models for data prediction using statistical methods, machine learning, or finite element analysis.
Evaluate model performance and accuracy, making improvements as needed.
Collect and interpret data produced by models and draw conclusions with guidance from analytical scientists.
Summarize work, write SOPs, and present project reviews to peers and colleagues.
Qualifications:
Enrolled in a Master's program in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, C/C++, and experience with statistical methods or machine learning.
Ability to interpret data from advanced analytical techniques, with experience in polymer science being a plus.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or in a team.
