LHH is seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Inventory Planning. This role is pivotal in enhancing the accuracy of our inventory forecasting and replenishment processes. The VP will be responsible for optimizing our planning, forecasting, and procurement efforts to ensure product availability aligns with our business objectives while maintaining optimal cash flow.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Forecasting & Analytics: Develop and maintain a dynamic forecasting and inventory projection tool to enhance analytical agility and reporting capabilities.
  • Process Implementation: Lead the implementation of a weekly PSI (Production, Sales, Inventory) review and a monthly SIOP (Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning) process across the organization.
  • Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and measure inventory performance, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Collaboration & Analysis: Work closely with the commercial team to analyze sales data, market trends, historical patterns, and statistical data to create accurate inventory forecasts.
  • Strategic Planning: Design and execute inventory performance strategies to identify risks and opportunities, driving initiatives such as assortment rationalization, markdown management, and replenishment strategies.
  • Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and optimize inventory management processes, systems, and tools to improve operational effectiveness and scalability.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure inventory planning and allocation processes are integrated and aligned with the company's objectives.
  • Policy Modernization: Review and update inventory management policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Technology Integration: Evaluate and implement software solutions to monitor demand and document inventory characteristics effectively.
  • Team Leadership: Communicate purchase plans and regularly monitor progress with the team of buyers.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned to support overall company objectives.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in inventory and distribution planning, inventory management, operations, buying/procurement, and/or logistics/distribution.
  • Experience in the flooring industry is a plus.
  • APICS CPIM certification is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data modeling and analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL).
  • In-depth knowledge of inventory planning concepts, demand forecasting techniques, and inventory optimization strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and influence stakeholders at various levels.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, capable of prioritizing tasks and driving results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proactive problem-solving abilities with a focus on continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
