Five years of experience in purchasing or a related field.

Position Description:
The role involves managing the procurement of components and services from suppliers, ensuring the lowest total cost while maintaining quality, reliability, and urgency. The position also oversees the continuous supply of component parts to support manufacturing activities and conducts market and material studies.
Job Responsibilities:
Evaluate purchasing practices, quotes, and cost/price analyses to select and review alternative suppliers.
Manage purchase requisitions and invoices, expedite shipments, follow up on orders, and verify deliveries against purchase orders.
Ensure supplier training for relevant processes and procedures.
Develop and manage records of purchases, prices, stock, consumption, supplier/vendor specifications, and catalog files.
Research and evaluate the benefits of contracts, open-market purchases, and outsourcing.
Negotiate, write, and verify legal aspects of supply agreements.
Manage the disposal of scrap, obsolete, and surplus materials.
Recommend and implement changes in processes or procedures for assigned areas.
Perform lead responsibilities, including training, assigning, and reviewing work, providing guidance, and overseeing workflow.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Skills Requirements:
Comprehensive knowledge of strategic sourcing and supply strategies, purchasing concepts, and supplier commodity processes.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for report writing, presentations, and interactions with diverse groups.
Proficiency with PC software and SAP.
Ability to work in a team environment and build/manage business relationships.
Ability to lead sophisticated partnership arrangements.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, component applications, Statistical Process Control, and other quality management techniques.
Strong knowledge of basic Geometric Dimension & Tolerance (GD&T) principles.
Fluent in English and the primary language used in the area of responsibility and/or location.
