Summary: LGES-HONDA recognizes the need for a dedicated compliance and ethics function, and we need the right person to lead it! As a member of LGES-HONDA legal team, the Compliance & Ethics associate will implement and oversee the Compliance & Ethics program for the company, which will include the development of policies, procedures, and systems to attempt to prevent, detect, and respond to violations of law, company policy, and ethical standards by associates and others.

Responsibilities:
• Develop and oversee the Compliance & Ethics Program for the Company, which includes multiple underlying elements, including the Code of Conduct, corporate policies and procedures, a Compliance & Ethics hotline, training for all levels of the Company, anonymous surveys, regular risk assessments, routine ethical messaging and awareness campaigns, recognition programs for ethical behavior, and inclusion of compliance and ethical conduct in performance evaluations for managers
• Be the subject matter expert on Compliance & Ethics topics and the Code of Conduct
• Conduct intake and support of Compliance & Ethics matters
• Engage in prompt fact-finding, root cause, and corrective action planning
• Conduct regular testing of controls to ensure the Compliance & Ethics program is operating well
• Implement and manage Compliance & Ethics matter management and tracking system, and prepare regular reports of case management data in PowerPoint and Excel
• Maintain records and databases related to the Compliance & Ethics matter management system
• Correlate and collaborate with other areas of the business in creating future business planning proposals
• Manage relationships with each business unit regarding Compliance & Ethics topics
• Maintain an understanding of battery operations and data points for use in Compliance & Ethics theme planning
• Coordinate priority Compliance & Ethics topics with HR, Legal, GRC, and other Company stakeholders
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal, compliance and industry changes and best practices
• Implement the continuous improvement mindset to improve and adapt the Compliance & Ethics Program
• Assists with preparation of plans, policies, documents, and reports, organizational charts, business and budget planning, and associate handbook updates
• Perform other routine tasks related to the Compliance & Ethics function

Experience and Qualifications/skills:
• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience. Master's or Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree preferred, but not required
• 3+ years of professional experience of compliance & ethics work, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP) or similar certification preferred, but not required
• Strong know-how and understanding of compliance programs and processes
• Experience in conducting internal investigations
• Ability to work independently
• Excellent Verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
• Excellent time management skills with the proven ability to meet deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Thorough understanding of laws, regulations, and guidelines related to Compliance & Ethics
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
• Prompt and regular attendance within our onsite operations (the position is an onsite position, five days per week)
