Fixturelogic, a division of King Retail Solutions, is seeking a skilled and experienced AutoCAD-Microvellum Drafter to join our team. As an AutoCAD-Microvellum Drafter at Fixturelogic, you will play a vital role in our design and manufacturing process, ensuring accurate and detailed technical drawings for the production of our custom fixtures.
You will be responsible for creating precise and detailed technical drawings using AutoCAD and Microvellum software. You will collaborate closely with our design team, project managers, and manufacturing staff to translate conceptual designs into functional and manufacturable plans. Your expertise in AutoCAD and Microvellum will contribute to the successful execution of projects, meeting both aesthetic and functional requirements.
This position is located onsite at our corporate headquarters in Eugene, Oregon, and works a typical schedule of Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4pm. Additional hours may be required as business requires.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Utilize AutoCAD and Microvellum software to create accurate 2D and 3D technical drawings, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
Collaborate with the design team to interpret conceptual designs and transform them into detailed shop drawings that can be efficiently manufactured.
Prepare comprehensive documentation, including plans, elevations, sections, and details, to communicate design intent and facilitate the manufacturing process.
Generate material lists, cutting lists, and schedules required for the production of custom fixtures.• Conduct thorough reviews and quality checks of drawings to identify and correct any errors or discrepancies.
Stay updated on industry trends, software advancements, and best practices related to AutoCAD and Microvellum drafting.
Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by providing feedback on design processes, software enhancements, and workflow optimization.
Requirements Education & Experience:
Associate's degree or diploma in drafting, engineering, architecture, or a related field is preferred.
2+ years' experience working as an AutoCAD-Microvellum Drafter, preferably in the field of custom fixtures or architectural millwork.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microvellum software, with a strong understanding of 2D and 3D modeling techniques.
Solid knowledge of construction techniques, woodworking principles, and industry standards.
Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate technical drawings within specified timelines.
Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve design-related issues.
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work closely with cross-functional teams.
Familiarity with CNC machining and manufacturing processes is a plus.
Knowledge of other drafting software and rendering tools (e.g., Revit, SketchUp) is an advantage.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
