Nutrition Business Advisors (NBA) is a boutique consulting firm in the natural products industry. We work with dietary supplement companies and wellness start-ups, offering advisory services and strategic connections to support their growth and success. Our knowledge base as a firm is strong on topics such as personalized nutrition, the microbiome, pet nutrition, mood & mental health products, digital health, sports nutrition, & more.
About the Role:
We are looking for an entry-level person, but someone who does have skills in software such as Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook. Our ideal candidate is an extremely detail-oriented person with a strong work ethic, who is curious about the health & wellness industry. You'll be working with our Managing Director, who is located in Del Mar. We also have a podcast, and there is an opportunity for this intern to get involved in the production and management of it.
This position is a hybrid of remote and in-person, so we are looking for someone in the San Diego area who would come to Del Mar on some days of the week.
What you'll do:
Organize office spaces and occasionally run errands for business as needed
Simple data entry (spreadsheets, CRM, etc.)
Perform assistant-like tasks for the owner of the firm
Transcribe and edit dictated files for grammar and completeness.
Learn about consulting and business
Possibly: Help produce and edit a podcast that is about health and wellness
Possibly: Conduct detailed online research for internal market intelligence (e.g. What claims are being made on the top-selling immune products?)
Possibly: Provide quality control inspection for power point presentations, reports, articles etc. written by team members
Requirements:
1st or 2nd year MBA student /4th year undergrad student in business related major
Compensation:
Less than 20 hours per week is expected for this position, at the pay rate of $20/hr. The employee is 1099 and no other benefits are provided for this job. If Employer and Employee both wish to, there is an opportunity for a full-time job with benefits - but this is dependent on the employee's performance.
