Role Description:
We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Senior Quality Assurance Tester to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in both manual and automated testing, combined with a commitment to delivering top-notch software quality. This role demands a meticulous and proactive individual who excels in a collaborative setting and has a proven track record of working effectively with offshore teams.
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on both manual and automated testing
Proficiency in SQL, Java, and Jira. Familiarity with other testing tools and frameworks is a plus
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and software development lifecycle (SDLC)
Exceptional attention to detail with a passion for quality and testing
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work well within a team, including remote and offshore team members
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
A genuine love for testing and a commitment to continuous improvement in quality assurance practices
Preferred Requirements:
Proven experience working with offshore teams is a significant advantage
ISTQB or other relevant certifications in software testing.
Experience with additional test management and automation tools
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive manual and automated tests to ensure the quality and functionality of PSI Metals' software applications
Develop, document, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts tailored to our production management solutions
Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs using Jira or other defect tracking tools
Work closely with development, product management, and other cross-functional teams to understand requirements, design comprehensive test strategies, and resolve issues
Write and execute SQL queries to validate data integrity and accuracy within our software systems
Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Java and other relevant technologies
Agile Methodologies: Participate actively in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
Collaborate effectively with offshore teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of project components
Ensure software meets all quality standards and project requirements prior to release
