Under direct supervision responsible for handling and processing of routine transactions such as balancing and reconciling of positions related to mergers, conversions, and redemptions. Corporate Actions deals with stock and cash and the prime responsibility of the team is to timely notify the fund managers on all voluntary and mandatory corporate actions and act upon the fund managers instructions within the given deadlines.

It is an entry level position with opportunity to develop professionally.

Responsible for processing all forms of corporate events soliciting instructions, instructing various custodians, balancing and reconciliations related to all voluntary corporate actions. Ensures day to day deliverables are met. Checklists are to be prepared and submitted to the next level on a daily basis. Responsible for identifying and resolving problems within established guidelines. Running and creating formal reports. Working towards becoming proficient in all areas of the job. Expected to use some initiative but refer more complex problems to supervisors/experts. Knowledgeable of the core aspects of the job. Works effectively as a team member but also independently.

Qualifications


  • Required securities processing experience, corporate actions processing experience is preferred.

  • Familiarity and high level of comfort with meeting time-sensitive deadlines and processing transactions up to and exceeding 1bil USD value.

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills required.

  • Is highly organized and pays attention to detail; able to capture and locate information via note-taking and available technology tools.

  • Advanced Excel skills preferred, and experience or familiarity with other Office 365 apps including: Word, Sharepoint, OneNote, Teams.

  • Functional / Financial Industry Knowledge is preferred - as this is a corporate actions role, should be able to explain corporate actions at a conceptual level from the issuer's standpoint. Should also be familiar with how widely held asset types esp. equity, bond, mutual fund etc. are traded and serviced at a custodian or broker.

  • Analytical and problem solving skills should be evident.

  • Displays competencies including: collaboration, curiosity, empathy, personal courage, self-awareness.

  • A College or University degree and/or some relevant work experience is preferred
