Role description:

Arcadis is seeking a Signals and Commissioning Specialist for our team in Chicago. You will be responsible for the installation, testing, and commissioning of signaling systems for transit projects. This role requires a deep understanding of signal systems, transit operations, and project management. The Specialist will work closely with engineers, project managers, and field technicians to ensure that signaling systems are operational and meet all safety and performance standards.

Role accountabilities:

• Verifying that the track and signal systems' installations, and modifications are performed in accordance with plans and/or specifications
• Perform all necessary track/signal inspections and test verification and witnessing.
• Oversee the performance of signal contractors performing installation of new signal systems and modifications to the existing signal system
• Review of signal activities in contractor's monthly pay application.
• Support the development of monthly progress reports.
• Prepare daily inspection reports for the work performed in the field.

• 10 years of experience in the installation, testing, and commissioning of signaling systems within the transit industry.

• Bachelor's degree in engineering is preferred or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

• Strong knowledge of signaling equipment, control systems, and communication protocols. Familiarity with relevant industry standards and safety regulations.
• Proficiency in the use of MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

We offer nine paid holidays and 20 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $140,000 - $160,000. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
