Job Summary


This position manages the Product Definition organization along with overseeing responsibilities for the warehouse operation. Seeking to optimize warehouse operations, storage, and identify value-added services for the facility.



Job Responsibilities

• Support configuration management.
• Provides consulting to managers, supervisors, and the workforce on the implementation of quality and process improvement initiatives.
• Able to lead discussion groups and process implementation efforts.
• Able to quantify performance measurements.
• Able to gather data and work with technical subject matter experts.
• Provide subject matter expert support in Technical Configuration Management ensuring quality assurance of Configuration Management database information and transactions, in addition to accuracy and proper application of changes.
• Oversees the receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance operations of the warehouse
• Compliance with OSHA safety regulations
• Review layout for optimum efficiency and space utilization
• Develop methodology for capturing and documenting product characteristics including routing and bills of material structures for development of product characteristics.
• Develop procedures to facilitate configuration management goals and standard costing methods.
• Provide application, as required, to facilitate and/or streamline data acquisition, processing, and presentation.
• Conduct periodic maintenance of inventory item structures, bills of materials, and routings with the purpose of rolling out pertinent system change while maintaining conformity to customer requirements and standard costing accuracy.
• Develop and maintain the processes used to ensure the currency and accuracy of the data, and identify product usage and organizational responsibilities within the various processes.
• Develop procedures to capture and document the life of any inventory item from entry to exit (when item is transferred, loaned, or accessed due to failure or end-of-life).
• Provide training to configuration staff and satellite customers of configuration department products.
• Review operational environment and project events to provide technical input to project leads that relate to Configuration Management duties and responsibilities.



Qualifications

• Required: Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
• Preferred: At least 6 years of experience in development, testing, or operations and 2 years of experience in process improvement, including certifications for six-sigma, CMM, and / or CMMI.
• Preferred: At least 2 years working experience in ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and / or AS 9100 management system.
