Business Analytics Advisor - Evernorth Health Services - Hybrid at Cigna in Morris Plains, New Jersey

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

• Focus is on determining business insights and challenges, prototype design and development of solutions, delivery of insights and managing insights projects from start to finish.


• Responsible for the extraction and analysis of health care information regarding government programs, Medicare, Medicaid and other relevant programs.


• Manages the production and analysis of prescription cost, quality and health-related productivity information used to formulate market and regional network and medical management strategies.


• Develops methods for improving internal techniques and processes. Utilizes multiple data systems to accomplish objectives.


• Co-ordinate and implement project implementation across cross functional teams.


• Participate in daily standup calls, follow Jira and SDLC protocols. Follow and deliver on committed development, QA and release timelines.


• Analyze operational and performance data to uncover opportunities for business improvement, utilizing regression and other statistical modeling techniques to conduct data mining as well as to address specific business questions

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Healthcare Informatics, or Data Science, any other quantitative discipline preferred.


• Minimum 5 years' experience in related health care analytics; or any combination of education and experience.


• Expert in Teradata SQL, Mainframe, Linux or other distributed platforms.


• Experience with Tableau, R, and other data visualizations highly desirable.


• Prior business analysis and development experience required or related experience


• Experience extracting and analyzing big data sets


• Root cause analysis and requirements development experience


• Strong analytical and organizational skills
