Great Lakes Cheese is seeking a CI Intern from June 2025 - August 2025 at our plant location in Hiram, OH. Job Responsibilities

• Support Line Start Up Projects.
• Help in reduction of Operational Losses.
• Provide support to day to day Plant Operations.
• Act as a resource to all Plant Departments.
• Reporting out giveaways and the cost effects for slice and bar lines.
• Trim usage, and storage by studying totes and trim box options.
• The process and inedible reduction of shred lines by creating equipment modification ideas.
• All GLC interns are expected to perform any assignment or job task according to the stated safety policies and procedures.
• Other responsibilities as assigned by the manager.

Required Education and Experience

• Current college student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Engineering or related field.
• Year in school: Junior/Senior.
• Must have at least a 3.0 GPA.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

• Strong attention to detail, data analysis, and reporting skills.
• Strong communication, presentation, and team skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Self-motivated with a high level of initiative, able to work well independently.

Working Conditions

• Work is performed in an office setting.

• Occasional exposure to industrial operations including: temperature extremes from approximately 35°F to 100°F; noise levels in excess of 85 dB; moisture and moving machinery.
