Job Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Collaborate with a variety of Superior Water Light & Power Regulatory and Accounting staff members to complete projects relevant to the day-to-day operations of the organization
  • · Potential projects may include, but are not limited to:

    • Analyze and interpret cost records
    • Participate in the calculation of new or updated rate offerings
    • Aides in completing regulatory and rate applications and reports
    • Assists with the monthly accounting close process, journal entries, reconciliations, and other tasks
  • Learn and apply knowledge of compliance and records across multiple utilities

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must currently be enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program with an expected graduation date between June 2026 and June 2027

    • Preferred majors include: Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Mathematics
  • Computer skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite Skills (i.e. Excel, Word, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with a variety of people in changing situations
  • Ability to work on multiple projects
  • Candidates may be subject to assessment of skills, job match, or aptitude

DETAILS & DURATION OF INTERNSHIP:

  • This internship will report in person to Superior, WI
  • This internship will be from June 2025 – May 2026. The expected hours are full time during the summer and part time during academic terms up until graduation.
