Job Description:

Looking to fill a Manufacturing Engineering Manager role. $100K - $120K + 10% Bonus + Benefits. On-site.

We are looking for a Manufacturing Manager to optimize the production processes for a family-run business that has been in operation since 1937. We are an engineering and manufacturing company that specializes in vibration sensors, load cells, and condition monitoring electronics for the industrial, medical, and aerospace sectors. This person must have strong background or knowledge in engineering (mechanical or electrical), and strong continuous manufacturing process improvement and cost reduction skills.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Developing and improving the manufacturing processes for the production of the equipment.
• Take ownership of the order backlog, its on-time delivery and gross profitability.
• Recognize potential future problems and plan to mitigate or reduce the related production risks or setbacks.
• Develop and maintain a positive culture.
• Work with management, technicians, and operators to continually improve manufacturing processes.
• Decrease cycle times/optimize production, maximize throughput rate, increase product quality, minimize scrap and troubleshoot processing problems.
• Promote and develop measures for the company and its staff to embrace technology and continuous improvement.
• Train employees in the best production and safety practices. Take ownership of their safety and environmental compliance
• Participate in Tool Design Reviews and recommend improvements to optimize setup, and overall manufacturing.
• Perform all other duties assigned.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• At least 10 years of manufacturing/industrial experience.
• Strong Continuous Improvement and Cost Reduction skills.
• Mechanical or Engineering background is preferred.
• At least 3 years of ERP or MRP experience is preferred.
• Aerospace experience is a PLUS
• Bachelor degree is Preferred.
