Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) to join our Memory Care Unit. As an STNA, you will play a vital role in delivering daily nursing care and services to residents in our Memory Care Unit, ensuring their comfort and well-being in accordance with their care plans and under the guidance of your supervisors.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Resident Care: Provide routine daily nursing care to residents in the Memory Care Unit, following their assessment and care plans. Ensure residents are comfortable and well-cared for.


  • Identification and Documentation: Use wristbands or photo cards to identify residents before administering treatments or serving meals. Record all relevant information accurately and report any changes in resident conditions promptly.


  • Resident Interaction: Greet and escort residents to their rooms, introduce them to roommates and staff, and assist with personal possessions and room preparations.


  • Safety and Compliance: Maintain confidentiality of all resident information, report any suspected breaches, and ensure compliance with all health and safety protocols.


  • Daily Tasks: Assist residents with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and mobility. Perform routine checks, measure vital signs, and provide after-meal care.


  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively with nursing and inter-departmental staff to ensure seamless delivery of care and address any issues or complaints.


  • Emergency Response: Assist with the evacuation of residents during emergency situations as needed.

Qualifications:



  • Education: Minimum of 10th grade education required.


  • Certification: Must be a licensed State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) as per state regulations. CPR certification preferred.


  • Skills: Ability to read and interpret business documents, write reports, and apply mathematical concepts. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle a variety of situations with limited standardization.


  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds, and perform tasks requiring prolonged standing, walking, and sitting. Accommodations can be made for individuals with disabilities.
