Summary:
Supports the work of the chaplain to provide grief support to patients, families, and staff experiencing immediate exceptional grief. Works closely with the Director of Spiritual Care in planning the annual overnight Grief Retreat and Educational Conferences about Loss and Grief. Assists in planning Remembrance Services within the center. Supports special programming, research, education, and marketing efforts to promote the Spiritual Care Department and the overall organization's mission and growth. Ensures that Roswell Park provides complete Spiritual Care Services, at the initial cancer diagnosis, during cancer treatment, at end-of-life, and after the death of the patient, to family members.


This is a part time, temporary non-benefited position. The starting hourly range is $23.32 - $29.58.




Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience


License Requirement
Valid New York State Driver's License.


Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Grief, Family Counseling, Mental Health, Social Work or Psychology and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time experience in grief counseling.


NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
