Kforce has a client that is seeking a Tableau Administrator in Maryland Heights, MO.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Tableau Administrator to support our ongoing migration from an on-premises environment to the cloud. This individual will play a critical role in managing the Tableau platform during the migration, ensuring a smooth transition, and optimizing the performance of Tableau services in the cloud. The ideal candidate will have experience in both on-premises and cloud environments, with strong expertise in Tableau server administration.
Responsibilities:
Tableau Server Management: Administer and maintain the on-prem Tableau environment while supporting the migration to a cloud infrastructure
Cloud Migration Support: Assist in the planning, execution, and management of the Tableau server migration from on-premises to the cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Performance Monitoring: Monitor and optimize Tableau server performance, both on-prem and in the cloud, ensuring high availability and minimal downtime
User Access & Security: Manage user permissions, security settings, and data governance in Tableau, ensuring compliance with company policies
Troubleshooting & Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Tableau server issues, addressing performance, connectivity, and access challenges
Automation & Upgrades: Automate routine administrative tasks, implement patches, and lead upgrades to maintain a stable and secure Tableau environment
Collaboration: Work closely with IT, data teams, and cloud infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration and performance of Tableau services in the cloud
Documentation: Create and maintain documentation related to the migration process, server configurations, and best practices for cloud-based Tableau environments
REQUIREMENTS:
Tableau Expertise: Strong experience administering Tableau Server in both on-premises and cloud environments
Cloud Migration Experience: Hands-on experience migrating applications from on-prem to cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP preferred)
Performance Tuning: Expertise in Tableau server optimization, monitoring, and troubleshooting
Security & Compliance: Familiarity with Tableau user management, security protocols, and data governance in cloud environments
Scripting & Automation: Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) to automate administrative tasks and deployments
Collaboration & Communication: Ability to work cross-functionally with IT and data teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
Relevant certifications such as Tableau Server Certified Associate or experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP
3-5 years of experience in Tableau server administration, with at least 1 year of experience in a cloud migration project
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
