We are searching for a Project/Program Manager I at our Groton, CT location.

SEA CORP is a veteran-owned business based in Middletown, Rhode Island. Founded in 1981, we have been providing services to the U.S. Navy for over 40 years. Our core business is providing systems, software, and hardware engineering services, as well as test and evaluation services to the Navy, chiefly for submarine electronic systems. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

SEACORP’s Production Operations group is seeking a Project Manager to support execution of ongoing tasking.

The Program Manager is concerned with the overall planning, direction and success of major programs, systems development efforts, and research or technology initiatives which have great significance to the activity’s and agency’s needs. Programs are typically large, multi-year efforts divided into several sub-programs/tasks. The Program Managers is also responsible for the overall program definition, organization, and direction of short and long range plans. This includes the responsibility for formulating, guiding, and directing the technical approach; and defining and negotiation with activity and agency personnel for necessary resources. Establishment and control of technical milestones, schedules, budgets and costs are also essential tasks for the Program Manager.

Responsibilities and duties will also include:

  • Work with Technical leads to define schedule and resources and coordinate internal personnel resources across multiple tasks.
  • Coordinate with technical personnel to include vendor information in project timeline
  • Develop project spend plans for a combination of Cost Plus and Firm Fixed Price efforts
  • Track all project budgets, deliverables and milestones to ensure successful project execution
  • Support Technical leads in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Collect and analyze cost performance data reports in order to identify cost, schedule, and performance trends and deviations and recommend corrective action
  • Attend meetings and briefings on EVM, IPTs and schedule performance

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

This position requires the following physical activities: Sitting, standing, extended periods of time using a mouse and keyboard and looking at computer screens. Infrequent lifting of <40lbs. Movement between points within the same office or between buildings. Work is performed in generally consistent environmental conditions with some seasonality for temperature differences and lighting.
