Job Description:

Ultimate Staffing is seeking an HR Generalist to join a client in Fremont. This will start as a temporary position, but can turn into a temp-to-hire role based on performance. The position is 100% onsite. Hours are Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.


Job Duties:


• Maintain confidentiality with all HR records and employee information.


• Support hiring managers in their recruiting efforts, including cost effective selection process, reference and background checks, preliminary interviews and coordinating interview schedules.


• Worker's Compensation reporting, claim filing and case management.


• Leave of Absence administration including FMLA, PDL, CFRA, FFCRA, etc.


• Participate in developing safety initiatives and training, attend safety meetings.


• Ensures new hire employee and termination information is provided to IT and follow up is done to make sure the process is effective.


• Ensure legal compliance and timely reporting requirements relating to EEO, AA, HIPAA, etc.


• Provide counsel to employees on HR Policies and Practices as well as Benefits.


• Maintain the integrity of HRIS, employee files and provides management reporting.


• Maintain I-9 information and ensures all documentation is correct, current and verified through use of the E-verify system.


• Assist with immigration issues.


• Assist with, coordinate, facilitate, and track HR projects and events such as Open Enrollment, Focal Reviews, Sexual Harassment Training (and other employee trainings), Worker's Compensation MPN Notification, etc.


• Collect and organize data annually for the company's AAP Plan according to OFCCP standards.


• Develop and maintain key reports to assist executives in strategic hiring plans, headcount, turnover, succession planning, etc.


• Assist managers with discipline process and investigations.


• Keep up to date on best practices to maintain compliance.


Required Experience:


• BS/BA, HRM, Business or equivalent experience.


• Minimum 3-5 years of directly related experience.


• PHR certification preferred.


• MS Office.


• HRIS experience preferred.
