The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for planning, developing, and implementing all warehouse procedures and activities to achieve corporate objectives. This role involves managing the receipt, storage, packing, and shipping of merchandise or materials, as well as maintaining inventory records and schedules. The Supervisor possesses extensive knowledge of various concepts, practices, and procedures in the field, and relies on experience and judgment to effectively plan and meet goals.

Essential Functions:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
• Oversee daily inventory management by tracking movement, updating records, and resolving discrepancies.
• Ensure proper storage of construction materials by securing items in locked areas as space allows, organizing them numerically, and maintaining and labeling overstock.
• Physically retrieve materials as needed and implement controls to minimize losses.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the warehouse and yard, including timely emptying of dumpsters and trash, and ensuring the area is mowed and weeded, unless hourly help is available.
• Supervise hourly or light-duty workers involved in warehouse tasks.
• Monitor and report usage of materials for shop needs, test supplies, scrap, and construction expenses on a weekly basis.
• Report non-stock items in your warehouse to corporate.
• Maintain adequate levels of inventory and tools, prepare weekly orders, and coordinate with corporate on returns.
• Track vendor backorders and report them to production supervisors.
• Receive and verify incoming materials by checking item numbers and quantities, and scan packing slips to corporate.
• Locate missing packing slips for direct shipments and items not yet received.
• Deliver materials to job sites in emergencies as required.
• Schedule and perform cycle counts for the warehouse and construction crews, and assist with year-end inventory counts.
• Carry out minor repairs to the facility as needed.
• Order and maintain fire suits (Nomex) for safety compliance.
• Keep an updated list of crew foremen and supervisors, and inform corporate of any changes, including new hires or site closures.

Education/Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent is required; a bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is a plus.
• 3-5 years of experience as a Warehouse Supervisor.
• Demonstrated ability to implement and enforce warehouse policies and procedures.
• Ability to adapt to evolving organizational and operational needs.
• Strong critical thinking skills for analyzing complex situations and making informed decisions.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a collaborative management style.
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
• Superior verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in computer applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.
