The Department of Political Science at the University of Houston invites applications for an open-rank, tenured/tenure-track, faculty position in American P olitics to begin Fall 202 5 . We seek applicants whose research and teaching interests focus broadly on American politic s and are open to specialty . The American Politics subfield at the University of Houston boasts scholars with a wide range of interests, including political behavior, institutions, and public policy. S pecial consideration will be given to those whose research agendas will add to the department's existing strengths in this subfield and have potential for collaboration with a variety of current faculty . S uccessful candidates should have extensive methodological training, demonstrated excellence in scholarly research and publication, and a clear commitment to teaching. Review of ap plications will begin October 11, 2024 and continue until the position is filled .
