Job Description:

Definition: Responsible for the initial receipt and subsequent review of submissions made to the Architectural Control Committee (ACC) for approval as mandated by the Las Colinas Declaration ("Declaration").

Essential Job Functions:
  • Understands and has working knowledge of the Declaration (including supplementary declarations), Article IV (ACC), Article V (Protective Covenants), and Article VI (Maintenance).
  • Receives and compares ACC submissions against Declaration Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions; as well as ACC historical actions on similar submissions.
  • Generates all correspondence necessary to document meetings, submission deficiencies, etc. which may include written research, preparation of LCA drawings and sketches, or performing drafting/CAD jobs.
  • Maintains contact with appropriate persons to ensure they understand the architectural review process and to answer their questions about the ACC and Las Colinas Declaration.
  • Maintains an accurate status record of all projects not receiving full and complete ACC approval. Submits appropriate changes of property status to the Database Administrator for inclusion in the LCA computer database.
  • Inputs all required information into the ACC agenda immediately upon completion of submission review.
  • Attends each ACC meeting and makes initial presentations or assists with presentations of reviewed projects.
  • Responds to member questions and complaints, lending assistance as needed.

Additional Duties:
  • Responsible for setting up and dismantling presentation materials for each meeting.
  • Ensures that all plan submissions and pertinent correspondence are integrated in to the plan library and property files.
  • Maintains LCA plats and maps of the Las Colinas development.
  • Conducts site and construction inspections necessary for project submissions; videotapes and photographs as needed.
  • Performs other responsibilities or duties assigned.

Minimum Qualifications / Acceptable Equivalency:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university with an emphasis in architecture, engineering, construction, or urban design and planning.
  • Working knowledge of and ability to read construction drawings.
  • Working knowledge of site and construction inspection, ability to perform site inspections including videotaping and photography.
  • Proficient in the use of computers and computer word processing (Microsoft Office) and AutoCAD Light.
  • Must have clear, concise written and oral communication skills.
  • Professional appearance and attitude.

  • Driving of a company vehicle is integral to the performing of all aspects of this job. Must have a valid Class "C" Driver's License prior to employment, must be insurable under the Association's insurance policy, and must not be impaired by drugs or alcohol while driving a company vehicle.
  • Pre-employment physical is required.
  • Must pass drug test, driver's license check, criminal history background check, credit check, and social security number verification check.
