Job Description:

6 West New Opportunity Medical and Surgical unit 23 beds with all bedside physiological monitors. NWH has grown its service lines and with the goal of keeping our patients within their community this new unit will open at the end of January 2022. The Unit Coordinator works under the direction of the Nurse Manager or designee to coordinate the activities essential to the effective functioning of the patient care unit. She/he acts as a key contact person for the nursing unit; performs appropriate tasks to implement physician orders, clerical tasks, and reception duties.



Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous clerical/secretarial experience in a health care setting preferred. Basic computer skills including keyboarding and medical terminology preferred.
