RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Performs new hire orientations which includes providing payroll data to finance department and logging new hire information into Teammate Central.
  • Assist in providing effective training services for the facility through planning scheduling, monitoring etc. internal and external training programs.
  • Maintain employee personnel files, both manual and Teammate Central system files for hourly and salaried employees.
  • Maintain effective employee relations by providing counsel to employees on HR matters.
  • Updates the Tracker and Teammate Central data base
  • Administer benefits program including medical, dental, pension, 401k, etc. to all hourly teammates.
  • Assist the HR Manager with other duties and projects as required.
  • Participate in health & safety and quality audit process.
  • Interviews hourly candidates for employment
  • This position is responsible for certain HS&E elements: Training and Medical Assessment (pre-employment)

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education:


  • Bachelor's degree coupled with 3 years of HR experience preferred.

Experience:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Excellent organizational skills coupled with the ability to respond effectively to changing priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, HRIS)

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Leadership skills and interpersonal skills with the ability to share and transfer knowledge and skills to / with others.
  • Dependable and self-motivated individual with good attendance / disciplinary and safety record who can work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Detail orientated individual with excellent thinking and trouble-shooting skills; able to make decisions based on information and analysis.
  • Some math and computer skills are essential to perform job duties.
