A globally prominent and rapidly growing manufacturer of cutting-edge production equipment seeks to expand their Design Engineering team. Due to an influx of exciting new, long-term business, they are hiring a Mechanical Design Engineering Lead. Reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager, this role will serve in both technical (design and development) and leadership/supervisory capacities. This is a permanent, direct-hire opportunity.
Primary Responsibilities:
Design and develop high-quality components, systems, and assemblies for multiple product lines.
Supervise and mentor a growing team of mechanical design engineers.
Field questions and issues from junior staff prior to escalation to senior leadership.
Lead design review and design release functions for mechanical group.
Manage change control activities with respect to product and/or process changes.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
7+ years of mechanical design engineering experience.
High proficiency with Solidworks.
Extensive experience with design release phase of product development lifecycle.
Experience with leading change management / change control activities.
