S&W Wholesale Foods is Louisiana's leading independent food service supplier and is on the move. We are searching for a Facility Manager to join our growing team. This position exists to oversee and assure adequate facility, material handling, refrigeration, mechanical systems, and AIB compliant sanitation / pest control processes.
This is a hands-on-job which requires 24-7 availability and may work during non-business hours.
Position Responsibilities • Responsible for meticulous record keeping of all control functions as defined by management. • Routinely inspects and evaluates all functionality of mechanical and repair tasks within personal capabilities and company tools. • Schedule all service providers for preventative, maintenance, and emergency service needs. • Escalate any major needs or concerns to management. • Participate in annual expense budgeting and manage responsibilities within budget. Management approval is required for any overspend. • Controlling and monitoring inventory. • Cooperate and communicate with other managers to maximize productivity. • Coordinating work performed by outside vendors. • Keeping any record requirements for Ammonia Refrigeration Systems. • Provides strong leadership in safety, inventory management, and problem solving. • Maintains schedules and tasks to be done by S&W employees or outside service agencies. • Provides superior customer service and excellent financial return to the company. • Ability to multitask. • Performing other duties, as assigned.

Must pass pre- and post-employment drug screening, criminal background investigation, and reference inquiries.

Education and Experience:
At least 2 years or more of Supervisory/Lead experience.
High School Diploma or GED.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Ability to routinely lift and move objects weighing 40-60 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
Ability to stay on your feet for long periods of time and work open-ended shifts until all work is completed for the night.
Ability to work in a cold environment and withstand cold temperatures.
