Overview
Responsible for accurately and efficiently processing individual driver applications to determine qualifications to driver for any CTG enterprise while adhering to standard operating processes as well as maintaining compliance with applicable federal and state DOT and other regulations. The Onboarding Coordinator is responsible for the life cycle of the process from when the applicant arrives at Orientation until activation.
Responsibilities
Responsible for communicating with the applicant to get all information needed to complete their Driver Qualification file (employment info, documentation, etc.) for company and owner operator/ lease purchase/ change overs and maintaining ongoing communications with the applicant about the status of his/her Driver Qualification File.
Responsible for making sure every application processed is 100% accurate and complete, including all required documentation.
Follow department standard procedures, including use of identified technologies and methods for obtaining accurate and complete previous employment verifications for 3 years, and comply with the FMCSR requirements.
Organize and ensure all needed paperwork is in each applicant’s file prior to activation.
Must adhere to all FMCSR requirements as well as Company Policies set forth.
File accuracy for compliance/safety review.
Ability to learn other functions and backup others.
Activate drivers and audit files as needed
Train new onboarding coordinators as needed
Implement new workflow processes as required
Employee may perform other related duties as required to meet the ongoing needs of Covenant Transport Services
Qualifications
Strong computer skills
Excellent communication skills, oral and written
Accurate data entry
Time management skills
MS Word, Outlook and Excel experience preferred
Detail oriented with commitment to complete tasks in timely manor
Work in fast-paced environment
Work independently and as team player, ability to cross-train
Ability to work over-time as needed

Covenant’s compensation philosophy’s intent is to use a competitive total compensation strategy to determine the current market value of a position while also considering individual factors such as performance in current position, time in seat of current position, experience, level of responsibility/accountability, and longevity with the company. The system will be objective and non-discriminatory. Pay Range: $34,140.15-$50,422.38 Pay Grade: 4
