Description Overview As an Electrical Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced electricians to learn and develop the skills necessary to become a licensed electrician. This role provides hands-on training in electrical installation, maintenance, and repair work, allowing you to gain practical experience while working towards your certification. You will be required to enroll in a Vermont based apprenticeship program where you will be required to attend weekly classes in the evenings. Scope of the Role Assist senior electricians with electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs Learn to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams. Observe and follow safety protocols and procedures on job sites. Use and maintain tools and equipment safely and effectively. Perform routine tasks such as wiring, circuit testing, and troubleshooting under supervision. Participate in on-the-job training and educational opportunities to develop technical skills and knowledge. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used. Provide exceptional service by maintaining professionalism and respect Experience Required High school diploma or equivalent required. Basic knowledge of electrical principles and systems is a plus. Ability to read and understand technical manuals and blueprints. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Good physical condition and ability to lift and carry equipment and materials. Excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Reliable transportation to job sites. Preferred Skills: Previous experience or coursework in electrical work or a related field. Basic computer skills and familiarity with electrical tools and equipment.
