Now Hiring for a Production Technician - Gas Mixing at our Cranberry Township, PA manufacturing plant. This role will be counted on for the following responsibilities:
The primary role for this position is to blend refrigerant gasses into cylinders, using gravitational scales, and corresponding predefined Excel spreadsheet calculations
Handle gas cylinders and verify gas mix accuracies using a gas sensing dvice
Assemble and test (including set-up), moderately complex instruments and/or sub-assemblies requiring wiring and soldering
May be required to pick parts from the warehouse
Produce customized instruments to customer specifications (assemble to order)
Package and ship instruments according to customer specifications
Generate delivery notes and determine method of shipping
Transfer material to shipping dock
Perform visual inspections and minor repairs and rework
Complete and maintain relevant paperwork and input information in computer system
Ability to read and understand drawings, work instructions and test procedures
Ability to understand standard units of measure and set-up and interpret results of various measuring devices
Ability to perform standard software operations including UPS
Must attain ability to perform complex SAP transactions
Ability to infrequently stand in a stationary position and lift, carry, push and pull up to 40 pounds without assistance
Ability to regularly perform work that requires magnification
Ability to use power and hand tools, custom tooling and to operate a pallet jack
Strong manual dexterity for use of tools and performing work on small components requiring fine finger manipulation and hand steadiness
Ability to effectively communicate with various levels within the organization including training of new associates and temporary agency assignments
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and prioritize and organize work
Must attain Hazardous Material certification
Operate at a level that meets or exceeds quality and productivity standards for the work area
Ability to work in a team environment
Willingness to work on various product groups and work flexible shifts
Ability to wear ANSI Z87 approved safety glasses and other PPE as required per Job Safety Analysis
Qualifications
Education and Experience Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum 3 months electronics manufacturing or other related experience
Education and Experience Preferred:
Past soldering experience
