Survey Crew Chief - Philadelphia, PA



Job Description


Pennoni is currently seeking a Survey Crew Chief with experience consistent, but not limited to:

• Responsible to lead a field survey crew in geodetic surveys for for Boundary, ALTA/NSPS Land Title, topographic, construction stakeout, HD Laser Scanning, and all facets of land surveying
• Proficiency with operation of total stations, data collectors, GPS systems and robotic instruments
• Ability to work alone or with a crew
• Ability to perform post processing and QA/QC checks on work performed including reduction of field notes and compare design slopes and grades to field located information
• Must demonstrate clear commitment to delivering excellent customer service exemplified by the finished work product, be it a support service or tangible end-product
• Prepare field notes, drawings and perform complex survey calculations
• Instruct and train survey crew in surveying and mapping methods, use of equipment, and field safety procedures

Required Attributes:

• High School diploma
• Minimum 5 years of work experience in the field as a surveyor. Due to the unique nature of consulting engineering and planning services, prior experience in our industry is highly desirable.
• Clean driving record with valid driver's license and ability to pass USDOT driver check
• Ability to pass client required drug and alcohol testing

Preferred Attributes:

• Understand Field Surveying Process and Procedures and operating Trimble Robotic Total Stations, Data Collectors
• Trimble GPS RTK units and Survey Data Collectors
• Leica RTK360 High-Definition Laser Scanner
• Desire to grow and expand knowledge in land surveying
• Ability to work out of town as needed or requested

• Adapt well to new situations and are a team player and a problem solver that can work with a high level of accuracy.
