Job Description:

Job Summary:

The candidate, under close supervision of a technical lead or unit supervisor, performs a variety of basic or routine tasks during the installation, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, calibration, testing, fabrication, construction, and operation of diverse electronic/mechanical equipment and systems.

Supports production of technical documents and drawings.

Researches technical issues for input to reports and studies.

Supports fabrication and testing of hardware and software systems.

Assists in design, coding, and documentation of software products.

Maintains filing systems, databases, and logs as needed for tracking project status and inventory.

Assists work unit personnel as the on-site customer interface for equipment/system installation, testing, fabrication, and other engineering tasks as needed.

Complies with engineering documentation standards, engineering plans, system specifications, and test procedures.

Uses established policies and procedures and limited subject matter knowledge to complete relatively simple assignments of moderate complexity that vary in nature and sequence.

Performs related work as required.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Hands-on experience performing tasks related to the work unit is desired.

Must have good communication and analytical skills and basic working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs.

Must exhibit basic planning/organizing skills and must be able to take direction from senior unit personnel and work under deadlines.

Must have a valid, current state driver's license.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.
