Field Controls Technician is responsible for making repair recommendations, a variety of testing, and ordering needed parts or materials. The Technician will also resolve controls or mechanical issues that arise at customer sites and provide online troubleshooting. This role may require some travel to other job sites for different periods of time.
Responsibilities
Accurately troubleshoot and diagnose all power generation equipment.
Make repair recommendations to customers, order appropriate parts to complete repairs.
Perform routine maintenance on equipment according to established guidelines and schedules.
Utilize measuring equipment including multimeters, ammeters and megohmmeters for diagnosis and repairs.
Perform load testing via dry type load bank test equipment and perform building tests utilizing automatic transfer switch and related controls.
Special testing as required.
Other duties as assigned.

Influence safety by evaluating safety performance, participating in safety meetings, targeting areas needing improvement and developing initiatives to impact the areas.

Qualifications
Self-motivated and multi-task oriented with good organizational skills.
Education/Experience:
High School diploma or Associated Degree in Electrical / Electronic preferred but not required.
Electrical AC /DC theory. Must be able to read and understand electrical schematics and drawings.
Knowledge of mechanical, electrical and control systems a plus.
