Overview:

Our Product Development group, part of AT&T's Technology Services (ATS) organization, is responsible for building software-based products, services, and platforms our customers love and need. Harnessing technology and rebuilding software expertise, the team inspires simplicity with projects that deliver revenue and cost savings opportunities.

As Software Engineer, you'll contribute vulnerability posture of critical AT&T software products. Invent overarching solutions to fix problems permanently and ensure they stay fixed. Implement strategies for reducing how long it takes for an idea to hit production for the platform while ensuring that systems are reliable, scalable, and efficient. You'll have a background in software development and SRE, with a proven track record of success in improving system reliability, performance, and availability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, code, test, debug and document new and existing components to ensure that software meets business, quality and operational needs.
  • Define a shared technical and architectural vision focused on creating technical alignment for the full Solution rather than concerns for specific components.
  • In addition to Unit Test, responsibilities may include dynamic application security testing, interface testing, integration testing, end-to-end testing and/or user acceptance testing.
  • Supports applications and solves configuration and environment issues.
  • Architect modern solutions to identify and improve vulnerability posture across technology platforms at AT&T.
  • Develop and implement strategic solutions for reducing the lag between idea and production. Modernize continuous integration and continuous delivery tooling and processes.
  • Ensure all micro-services are in a well-maintained state aligned to the company's long-term deployment and technology goals.
  • Participate in postmortems for all services and use the insights to identify team focus areas.
  • Facilitate the reuse of code, components, and proven patterns; Influence common modeling, design, and coding practices.
  • Collaborate with engineers/architects, clients, etc. to validate test environments, test data and test results, design and implement code fixes, validate outcomes against expected results and produce associated reporting.


Required Qualifications:
  • 2+ years Software Engineering experience.
  • 2+ years' experience: Java, Maven, Spring Boot along with familiarity with frontend languages like Node.js., Angular, JavaScript.
  • 2+ years of experience in build and CICD technologies: GitHub or Azur DevOps, Sonar
  • 2+ years of experience in any cloud technologies: AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Chef or Terraform
  • 2+ years of experience in Unit and Function testing using Junit, Mockito/JMock, Selenium, Cucumber, SoapUI or Postman
  • Experience setting up Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery pipelines using tools like GitHub Enterprise, Spinnaker, Azure DevOps.
  • Experience in microservices architecture.


Our Specialist Product Development Engineers, earn between $96,000.00 - $144,000.00 USD Annual. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
