Overview:




As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and testing comprehensive features. You will collaborate with partner teams to deliver top-notch experiences to our customers.


Responsibilities:

• Design and collaborate with local and partner teams.


• Participate in and contribute to the agile development and planning process.


• Write highly maintainable, easy-to-understand code for RESTful services, event-driven systems, databases, and cloud infrastructure, adhering to secure coding practices.


• Apply engineering standards, concepts, and principles to address practical business needs.


• Design complex systems with up/downstream dependencies and understand business metrics.


• Mentor other engineers and help them break down larger designs into individual work units.


• Ensure code quality through complete and automated unit, functional, integration, and end-to-end testing.


• Identify and prevent performance issues, optimize solutions and infrastructure, and lead cross-functional troubleshooting.


• Instrument code with custom metrics, alerts, and dashboards.


• Ensure adherence to engineering best practices across the entire solution.


• Collaborate with other software engineers on design and best practices, and conduct code reviews.


• Understand tradeoffs in engineering processes and adjust team processes to meet project needs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.


• 6+ years of professional experience in developing RESTful services and event-driven applications.


• Strong foundation in software engineering practices, data modeling, object-oriented analysis and design, design patterns, and algorithms.


• Experience with Go, Java, .Net, or other object-oriented programming languages.


• Experience with AWS services such as ECS, Fargate, Elastic Cache Redis, DynamoDB, Lambda, CloudFormation, etc., or similar cloud-hosted platforms.


• Familiarity with Linux/Docker and open-source software development.


• Familiarity with test automation and CI/CD pipelines.


• Familiarity with ops tools such as New Relic and Splunk.


• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to nontechnical audiences.


• Passion for new technologies, operational excellence, and customer impact.
