Job Description:

Under the supervision of the site Practice Manager, provides administrative support to physicians in a high-volume ambulatory clinic setting, functioning as the primary interface between patients and providers. Emphasis is placed on the ability to stay organized and to prioritize administrative tasks related to patient care. Role requires management of confidential patient information, scheduling patient appointments, answering phones with the highest level of customer service, checking patients in and out of appointments, collecting copayments, and helping to manage incoming information via phone and fax. In the medical assistant role, staff member rooms patients, updates Epic, manages medical instruments and utilizing the MEE sterilization protocol. clean exam rooms, scopes, instruments and prepare rooms for the next patient. Work collaboratively with all staff and health care professionals in our TEAM approach to healthcare.



Qualifications

High school diploma or combination of education and experience required. Prefer 1 year of experience in a medical administrative support position within a busy medical site or department. Excellent verbal communications skills required for the telephone, interaction with patients and others; strong organizational skills a must. Epic and electronic medical record experience a plus
