Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) seeks a Customer Training Specialist at NAS Whidbey Island, Washington to join our team that works on multiple DoD contracts for Autonomous C4ISR and combat systems such as SIGINT, COMINT, ELINT, and sub-surface maritime capabilities.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Conduct analyses to evaluate and develop customer technical training needs to determine appropriate training content, objectives, and design. Establishes processes for identifying training content and evaluating training effectiveness.
  • Develop, deliver, and evaluate of technical training.
  • Use specialized software technology to research, configure, maintain, update, and develop new and existing media and materials.
  • Gathers data to support complete proposal development activities.
  • Ensures accuracy and quality of training products.
  • Independently assembles and conducts customer training in broad subject areas using the appropriate medium to satisfy customer training requirements.


This position is virtual (fully remote) and will not require relocation.

Travel may be required up to 25% of the time; domestically and potentially internationally depending on business needs.

This position requires an active TS/SCI U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 3+ years of experience interpreting commercial technical data including drawings, maintenance, and operations manuals.
  • 1+ years of experience conducting maintenance training.


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Familiar with Navy or Army standards for Curriculum development (MTS or service/civilian equivalent required for Level 4).
  • Prior service Navy who reached the rank of PO2 for Level 3 and PO1.
  • SIGINT/ELINT Systems Experience (Hardware/Software).
  • Prior CTR/CTM/CTT.
  • Ability to understand technical drawings and conduct basic troubleshooting functions.


Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience, 9 years' related work experience, etc.).

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.

Shift Work:

This position is for 1st shift but may require occasional compensated ad hoc support after hours to support customer training.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: 82,450 - 111,550.
