RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist in Lakeland, FL.

Responsibilities:

• Senior Payroll Specialist will lead, and own payroll functions as required by the organization and acts as primary payroll contact with the company's payroll vendor


• Provide support for payroll and benefits administration by researching questions from team members including but not limited to: Timecards, PTO balance questions, HRIS onboarding & offboarding support, deductions, 401k paperwork processing and VOEs


• Process, as a separation of duties, accounts payable disbursements


• Administer expense report compliance, including corporate credit cards, with main duties to include approvals & administration within Concur and communication of policy enforcement


• Perform general accounting duties, including journal entry preparation and posting, month-end closing tasks, and reconciliation of accounts


• As a Senior Payroll Specialist, you will act as main point of contact to maintain operations and reporting for company's 401(k) plan


• Facilitate the maintenance of all company licenses, including, but not limited to, payroll registrations, business registrations, and sales tax registrations

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related fields preferred


• Understanding of accounting principles and current financial legislation


• Exceptional time management, communication, and problem-solving skills


• Proven organizational skills and the ability to maintain precise records


• Current familiarity with common database and spreadsheet tools, such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, and Excel


• Knowledge of productivity tools, including Microsoft Office Suite


• Be a skilled researcher and possess strong communication and computer skills

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
