Position Summary
The Payroll Administrator is responsible for managing and processing APL Maritime (AML) employee
payroll, ensuring accurate and timely payment of wages, taxes, and deductions. They maintain payroll
records, calculate hours worked, handle employee benefits and deductions, and ensure compliance with
relevant laws and regulations. Additionally, they may assist with payroll reporting, resolving payroll
discrepancies, and providing payroll-related support to employees and management.
Duties and Responsibilities
Comply with AML's Integrated Management System (IMS) and all applicable
rules and regulations.
Ensure all duties are following quality, health, safety, security,
environmental, and ethics policies as applicable.
Propose a continuous personal performance improvement plan to be
periodically reviewed.
Provide phone and email support as requested.
Provide accurate, timely, and clear written communication to vessels.
Review each vessel and shore payrolls for supporting documents for accuracy in NSE and ADP WFN.
Create and review benefit union payments monthly.
Process 3rd Party Payments.
Create new vendors.
Masters Cash Request.
Review NACHA Files, CNOTE and bank reports.
Billing and invoices management.
Maintain fringe benefit changes.
Year End W2 reporting.
Garnishments.
Annual and quarterly tax reporting.
Return of funds/cancel issued checks.
Review/audit payroll folders.
Support and back up Payroll Manager.

Education
Preferred Bachelor's Degree Bachelor's degree in related business or equivalent
combination of education and experience
Work Experience
General Experience 5-10 years Minimum 5 years payroll processing and accounting experience.
