Description: The Judge Group has partnered with a manufacturing client in the Austin MN area to find an Industrial Engineer for their team. This role plays a huge part in equipment upgrades, new line installation, efficiency of production lines, and overall efficiency of the plant. The right candidate needs to have a strong background of implementing lean initiatives in a company with an engineering mindset.
**The client would be willing to assist in relocation**
This job will have the following responsibilities:
- Responsible for applying engineering principles and analytical techniques to establish and continually improve manufacturing processes and products.
- Provide support with layout, design, improvement, and implementation that enables the plant to reach KPIs
- Champion Continuous Improvement initiatives and projects for the plant
- Actively participates with teams and with teammates to provide improvements in Safety, Quality, and Productivity
- Manage and execute new equipment installations, equipment capacity analysis/utilization, labor planning, which includes construction and implementation of labor standards, ergonomic improvements, productivity improvement and standard labor cost construction
- Develop standardized work practice sheets
- Provides the plant operations groups with solutions on equipment layouts and plant capacities
- Bachelors Degree
- 2+ years of Engineering Experience in manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of CI, Lean Manufacturing
