Lincoln Electric is seeking a Network Administration Specialist for our Euclid, OH headquarters. The Network Administration Specialist will be responsible for enhancing and optimizing network processes and resolving complex technical challenges. This role demands a strong grasp of new technologies and a proactive approach to implementing innovative solutions across the enterprise.

** This is a hybrid position requiring someone to work on-site at our Euclid, OH office 3 days a week**




What You Will Do:





  • Network Optimization: Operate, maintain, and enhance a secure and resilient network infrastructure, adhering to industry best practices. Ensure network services at Lincoln Electric effectively support business units and positively reflect on the IT organization.

  • Technological Advancement: Demonstrate an entrepreneurial mindset by continuously learning and integrating new technologies. Actively participate in the research, design, and implementation of various network technologies including wireless, route/switch, datacenter, and security infrastructures.

  • Architectural Strategy: Contribute to the architectural strategy by designing, installing, securing, and testing network equipment on the shop floor. Ensure all Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and Operational Technology (OT) devices are implemented following best security practices.

  • Component Placement: Provide recommendations on the placement and capabilities of network components for shop floor lines and plant Intermediate Distribution Frames (IDFs).

  • Infrastructure Maintenance: Assist in maintaining Cisco CyberVision, Cisco DNA, and wireless infrastructure, adapting to evolving business requirements on the shop floor.

  • Survey and Assessment: Utilize tools and techniques to conduct site and predictive wireless surveys for both office and manufacturing environments.

  • Documentation and Procedures: Author and maintain standard work procedures, network diagrams, and other documentation to support the network team and our stakeholders.

  • Monitoring and Support: Monitor network infrastructure components, provide escalation support, and coordinate with application owners for issue resolution and infrastructure changes.

  • Automation and Efficiency: Document and engage in automation projects aimed at reducing management time and enhancing operational efficiency.

  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by leveraging data, user feedback, and collaborative teamwork.



Required Experience and Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 4-10+ years of experience in supporting and designing enterprise network environments.
  • Proficiency in configuration management, network design, implementation, and support. Demonstrated ability to design and enforce best practices around network security and vulnerability management.
  • Highly motivated, self-starting, customer-focused, with the ability to work independently. Flexibility to respond to unexpected demands, including after-hours work, emergencies, and on-call duties.
  • Ability to travel to various Lincoln Electric locations for network installations and support.
