The main function of this role will be to aid in processing microbiological samples. This position is in a microbiology lab that is projected to process more than 15,000 samples this year. Seeking a candidate who is interested to work in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
Job Responsibilities:
Primary -- Preparation and plating of routine microbiology samples
Preparing and stocking supplies for daily lab work
Routine laboratory cleaning
Top Skills:
Attention to detail to ensure correct sample processing
Strict adherence to SOPs in order to maintain quality of results
Additional Skills:
Ability to work as part of a team and occasionally independently
Ability to work on your feet all day and multi-task
Understanding and practice of aseptic technique
Spread-plate technique experience
Education/Experience:
BS degree required; Microbiology preferred.
Ability to multi-task in work in a fast-paced environment.
