Job Description:

Geopros, Inc. is currently seeking a Director of Operations (DOO) for a client based in the Reno, NV area. The DOO will be based in Reno but may be asked to travel to worksites throughout the Northern Nevada area as needed. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as a keen attention to detail, and is a team player.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Managing project completion by overseeing day-to-day operations to ensure smooth and efficient workflow, keeping projects within timelines, budget, and quality standards.
  • Streamline processes and procedures to improve overall operational efficiency while implementing best practices and standards in construction and project management.
  • Work closely with the CFO to develop and manage budgets, ensuring financial targets are met while analyzing financial data and key performance indicators to make informed business decisions.
  • Overseeing services, personnel, budgeting, and administration operations for Field Operations
  • Provide strategic advice on current and upcoming projects and align operational strategies with business objectives.
  • Work closely with the Management Team to develop and implement strategies that continuously improve efficiency, productivity, and profitability. Regularly assessing operational performance to identify areas for enhancement.
  • Lead and mentor a cross-functional team, including construction, project management, and operations staff. Fostering a positive and collaborative work environment directed toward achieving business goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and contractors while negotiating and managing contracts to ensure favorable terms for the company.
  • Establish and enforce quality control measures to ensure the delivery of high-quality results. Simultaneously monitor and address any issues related to construction standards and safety.
  • Reporting directly to the President

Qualifications, Technical Skills, & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role within the home building or construction industry (at least 5 years of Operations Management experience).
  • Strong background in operations, project management, and strategic planning.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • In-depth understanding of accounting principles including budgeting, balance sheets, income statements, cash flow, forecasting, and capital planning management and strategy.
  • Strategic planning and vision with an eye on process improvement.
  • Capacity to work in a challenging fast paced team environment.

Job Details:

  • $120,000-$150,000 plus performance bonus (compensation is commensurate with experience and education.)
  • Full-time position, on-site in Reno, NV.
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday.
