CT Mechanical is seeking a Senior Mechanical Project Manager to oversee the successful execution and leadership of large-scale and complex projects. In this role, you will take ownership of high-value projects, lead project teams, and directly influence strategic decisions to ensure the efficient planning, direction, and coordination of construction and maintenance of mechanical structures, facilities, and systems. Role and Responsibilities: • Ensure the profitability of all assigned projects, aiming for a minimum of 10% net profit. • Lead and mentor a team of project managers, fostering professional development and ensuring consistent project success across the department. • Provide high-level oversight and strategic input on large-scale projects, ensuring alignment with the company's long-term goals and financial objectives. • Forecast and manage labor hours and labor needs, providing a labor forecast and a 3-week look ahead. • Lead risk management initiatives by identifying potential challenges and proactively developing mitigation strategies. • Develop and manage vendors and subcontractor resources to optimize project outcomes. • Focus on client satisfaction by maintaining open communication and addressing concerns promptly. • Coordinate with department heads in Asset Management, HR, IT, Estimating, and Finance to streamline project operations. • Oversee the allocation and management of project resources across multiple large-scale projects, ensuring efficiency and productivity. • Manage warehouse inventory, deliveries, receiving, and material needs to support project requirements. • Maintain purchasing procedures and manage fabrication needs efficiently. • Network effectively to enhance business development opportunities for the branch. • Manage warranty needs and ensure timely resolution of any issues. • Participate in leadership team meetings, providing insights and contributing to strategic decision-making. • Provide operational solutions for all projects to ensure smooth project success. • Help prioritize tasks to manage project schedules effectively and meet deadlines. • Report project metrics weekly to the leadership team, ensuring transparency and accountability. • Collaborate with senior leadership to drive process improvements, implement best practices, and enhance operational efficiency across the organization.
Requirements & Qualifications: • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and extensive industry experience. • Minimum of 15 years of experience in the Commercial HVAC/R Industry, with a focus on large-scale projects. • At least 5 years of senior management experience in a similar role. • Proven track record of leading complex, multimillion-dollar mechanical construction projects. • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey ideas and information. • Alignment with our core values and long-term vision for the company. • Exceptional leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to lead and inspire large teams. • Demonstrated success in managing project portfolios and delivering projects on time and within budget. • Ability to motivate and develop others, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment
