Position Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager with at least 5 years in product management. The ideal candidate will excel in driving product strategy, market research, and competitive analysis, with a strong focus on business case development. Proven expertise in cross-functional team leadership and project management is essential. Familiarity with industries such as paint, design, fashion, photography, video, film, broadcast, content creation, or consumer electronics is preferred. Relevant certifications, including PMP, CSPO, or Six Sigma, are a plus. A demonstrated track record of delivering successful products and a passion for innovation are critical for this role. Position Status, Location and Reporting

This position will report to the Director, Product Management This is a full-time position, on a 2-day per week hybrid schedule in the Princeton, NJ area.

Specific Responsibilities

The Senior Product Manager, Consumer Solutions' responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Product Management: Oversee product life-cycle, including phase-in/phase-out and portfolio optimization, ensuring adherence to industry standards and product development gate processes.
• Strategic Thinking: Execute a strategic vision for products, aligning with company goals and collaborating closely with the Product Director on strategic initiatives.
• Analytical Skills: Conduct market research, analyze competitive trends, perform data analysis, and develop compelling business cases.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Lead cross-functional teams in technical environments to deliver successful products.
• Consumer Insight Generation: Extract consumer insights from technical products to develop effective value propositions and product positioning.
• Organizational Skills: Manage multiple priorities with strong organizational skills.
• Project Management: Deliver product development milestones on time, overcoming setbacks through collaboration with key stakeholders.
• Technical Aptitude: Work closely with engineering teams to understand technical aspects of product development.

Qualifications
• Minimum of 5 years in product management.
• Strong understanding of product life-cycle management, including phase-in/phase-out and portfolio optimization.
• Demonstrated experience in executing strategic product visions aligned with company goals.
• Proven track record in market research, competitive analysis, data analysis, and business case development.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams in technical environments.
• Skill in extracting consumer insights to develop value propositions.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Technical aptitude with experience working closely with engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications
• In-depth knowledge of industries such as paint, design, fashion, photography, video, film, broadcast, or consumer electronics.
• Direct experience in relevant industries, particularly with products like color matching or monitor calibration.
• Proficiency in advanced data analysis tools.
• Experience in global market product management.
• Track record of driving product innovation.
• Relevant certifications (PMP, CSPO, Six Sigma).

Compensation

A competitive salary, incentive plan, and comprehensive benefits package will be offered, tailored to the role and the selected candidate's experience. The base salary will reflect the candidate's relevant education, skills, experience, and professional network, as well as the job location. The anticipated annual base salary ranges from $135,000 to $145,000, with the potential for a bonus at the company's discretion.
